My platform is the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation, which is dedicated to helping support research for cancers affecting women and the fights against domestic violence. The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation has awarded over $18 million in grants since it was founded in 1996.
I chose the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation because Cancer is a horrible disease and I have seen, personally, the affect it can have on strong, beautiful women and their families. This foundation provides funding so we can better treat and prevent this horrific disease.
I also believe that domestic violence is an issue that is often overlooked. The MKA Foundation funds safe houses for women and children who are victimized until they are able to find the next step to a better life, without violence.
